Green Sumatra Mandheling Coffee Beans

Indonesia is a country of many islands that collectively form the country of Indonesia, with its capital city being Jakarta. A thriving coffee industry exists in the country as it's climate is perfect for growing high quality coffee and some of the best coffee's in the world are grown in this country. Within Indonesia is the province of Sumatra, which is of course the home of Sumatra Mandheling coffee.

Mandheling is not a term to describe a certain type of coffee berry or process, but is actually the Dutch name for an ethnic group which had become connected with Sumatran coffee production. Beans grown in this region are often prepared as a very dark roast, which does not always appear dark. Even after roasting, the beans simply do not get as dark as others and may appear slightly green. No matter what the bean looks like beforehand, they do make an incredible cup of coffee!

Sumatra Mandheling coffee is produced in an area outside of Pandang, along the west coast of Sumatra and is known to be one of the best and most sought after coffee's grown in the Sumatra region. Low in acidity, but with a syrupy, full body, it's spicy flavor will be satisfying, leaving a rich aroma in the air.
